The Valley of Flowers National Park is situated in Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. There are wonderful natural beauty. Colorful flowers {over 600 types} like daisies, marigold, poppies, primulas, etc. The Valley is also home to rare and amazing animals like snow leopard, red fox, lime butterfly. It is a must visit place for all those who peace combined and nature’s beauty. The valley of flowers is also believed to be the place from where Hanuman brought the magical herb to Lakshman in the Hindu epic Ramayan.

The highest point of the park is Gauri Parbat, about 6719 meter above mean sea level. There is a vibrant colorful paradise place with a myriad of flowers, mesmerizing waterfalls. The entire area, located within the Western Himalayas Endemic Bird Area (EBA) and Galliformes that are prey to carnivores such as the snow leopard. There is a Sikh Gurudwara and Lakshman temple built on the bank of the Lake.

Foreigner Tourists: INR 600

Best Time to Visit in Valley of Flowers National Park

The Best Time to Visit in Valley of Flowers National Park between July to September when you can see at this bloom with colorful flowers. The big benefit to visiting in this month is that there will be very less rain. Temperature range from 14°C to 20°C during Monsoon. Do not miss the Slipper Orchid flower in July. If you are going in Summer March to June is not a recommended time to visit this region. The park is not open to tourists until June. Temperature range from 15°C to 25°C. This is not exactly the most advisable time for a visit to the Valley. The Valley of Flowers in October is the last month of the year is open of tourists. This is the off-season month when you can expect transportation to be cheaper.
